Danang's transport menu is refreshingly simple: metered taxis and ride-hailing apps for door-to-door comfort, a network of local buses for the cheapest seat in town, and the ever-present motorbike taxis that weave through traffic in half the time. Most visitors end up mixing the three, Grab or Xanh SM for reliability, buses for long straight runs along the coast, and xe ôm (motorbike taxis) for the last kilometre when the heat wins. First-timers should download Grab or Xanh SM before leaving the terminal. Both work everywhere in the city and spare you the haggle. The airport bus exists but stops running early evening, if you land late, the official taxi queue outside arrivals is the only game in town, and insisting on the meter keeps the fare reasonable. Skip the freelance drivers who meet you inside baggage claim; they're the only ones who routinely "forget" to turn the meter on.
